48 The Beacon, Thompsons Bay - Ballito

This luxury apartment overlooks the famous Thompsons Bay beach and tidal pool. The tropical gardens of the estate offer you unlimited use of the communal swimming pool with braai (barbeque) facilities and tennis court. It is situated at the top of The Beacon estate, with fantastic views from the secure balcony and is with walking distance to the beach.

The spacious open plan lounge, dining area and modern kitchen leads onto the balcony through large sliding patio doors. The breaker view is stunning. This sheltered balcony with 6 seater wrought iron table and chairs enables you dine “al fresco”, or relax on the pool lounger, or simply soak in a beautiful Dolphin coast sunrise or moonlight over the warm Indian Ocean. Dolphin and whales (in season) are often seen from the apartment. A Weber Braai is supplied for barbeques on the patio.

In the living area there is an 8 seater dining table for cosy family meals, and the TV lounge area has comfortable seating around the TV, DVD and mini hi fi. DSTV satellite TV is provided (compact bouquet unless upgrade requested) and we have even supplied you with a few games, magazines and books for your use in the flat. The comfortable lounge suites and tasteful custom made furnishings give you a “home from home” feeling in this lovely flat. A pull out sofa bed increases sleeping capacity to a maximum of 8 people but the apartment is better suited for 6. A camper cot is available for tiny tots.

The kitchen is fully equipped for 8 people and has a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, electric stove and microwave. Outdoor drying facilities are provided close to the apartment, as well as a clothes rack.

The apartment is fully serviced and linen changed once per week but additional cleaning can be arranged on request. Towels can be provided for a small fee.

Your safety, comfort and enjoyment are our priority. The estate entrance has a 24 hour manned security gate and your covered parking bay is right outside the apartment or you can use the lockable garage. We recommend using a car to get easily and quickly to shops and restaurants in Ballito. The beach is a quick walk down the hill and is a safe bathing beach with toilets and a tidal pool that’s ideal for children. Fishing is great off the rocks. We have some beach and leisure equipment – please check with us if you are not bringing your own. The apartment is level inside but visitors with mobility difficulties should note there are two shallow steps at the entrance and that you may prefer to use a car to reach the beach as the hill is quite steep.
